In Eastern Ontario in Canada, we’re looking forward to Fall Rhapsody where we celebrate nature’s magnificent display of colour while walking in the woods. Make sure that, wherever you are, you too exercise and nurture your body and mind!
And if you’re in the mood for learning, I would encourage you to register for our Brain Fitness Course that starts on October 11th. It’s a 6-week online course that will wake up your brain and generate plasticity!
Don’t forget your brain training today, and, if you still don’t have full access, join now.
Kind regards, Frieda Fanni President DynamicBrain Inc.

Understanding brain cell loss in Alzheimer’s
Necroptosis is a form of cell death that happens in a programmed fashion. Scientists have recently discovered that neurons initiate this “orderly” cell death when exposed to amyloid plaques and tau tangles—proteins implicated in Alzheimer’s. More importantly, they’ve been able to prevent the death of neurons in this process.
See how this finding improves our understanding of Alzheimer’s and how we might be able to treat it.
Brain structure and surroundings
UCLA researchers have found that living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods not only influences food choices but also impacts the brain’s structure. The researchers analyzed the brain’s cortex of those living in disadvantaged areas to determine how their living conditions change specific areas of their brains.
Learn what this research has to say about the importance of safeguarding the health of those in struggling neighbourhoods.
Combatting stress the natural way
Your body has an intrinsic mechanism for managing stress. When you’re under stress, your brain may release its own cannabinoid molecules to calm you down. These molecules activate the same brain receptors as THC from cannabis plants. But the brain activity patterns and neural circuits related to these homegrown molecules of the brain have not been well known in the past. Now, a new study sheds light on where these molecules originate.
Find out what this study tells us about the body’s natural coping response to stress.
